I don't know about anyone else, but I think the rule where <if you injure a hostage you auto die> is a load of shit. I was rushing the house thing on the estate map as a CT and naded it at the start of the round, my nade injured a hostage and I was auto killed, not once, but twice. That rule is stupid as fuck. Sorry for my language. Also as a terrorist if you are shooting a CT running away the hostages are right behind him so obviously you will kill them, that rule should not go against you in those circumstances.


On a side note: Yay or Nay on adding cs_assault to the map list? That map is a lot of fun and you can pick a custom assault style map that isn't so t-sided.

Agree.

Its fun watching non admins throw nade and kill themselves because of the hostages, but I know if I place my spot on their situation, I'd be like WTF!!

In real life too, you're not gonna get killed for injuring hostages LOL, maybe kick after repeated mistakes.

That being said, why not have plugin KICK a player as a warning instead of 3000 minutes ban? I know A LOT of our regulars started off with 3000 minutes ban.

You answered your own question, to get players to become regulars.

It can't kick people because that resets the counter. People would just rejoin and keep killing hostages

HE grenade uphill on Italy earned me mine.

The other night some kid joined and killed two hosties on purpose. Made that round easy because I only Had to sneak out the other two. 3k minute ban came when he shot one trying to stop me in a latter round. The banning is nice because it helps keep out idiots who just want to grief the other players.

The reason why it is like this is due to some players coming into the server and purposely killing them all the time. In the end all it does is disrupt the game. The bans were put in place because of the fact that kicks weren't enough and were humorous by the offending player.

Same goes with why the shields are restricted. I understand that they part of the game but again numerous players found ways to abuse it and now everyone one is pay for it. Eventually there may be another solution for this but for now it is what it is.

There are legitimate reasons for why things are as they are. Its not because I feel like it.

Also, like I told you, the original assault was deleted because its a terrible map. Most of the remakes are a lot better than the original. I will not be adding the original back to the server.

Well in my opinion the plugin bans more accidentel hosties kills then purpose hostie kills cause once they see the counter on how many hosties they kill they will stop if we really wana prevent this i agree it should be 4 hosties kill and a kick and we can note who it happens too and if they always do it we reffer to the demo and give a 15 day ban if its on purpose i know your proud of the pluggin dave but its something a little to strict

Is there a way to make the counters separate? Like you get 1/2 TK and 1/4 hostie kills? Or is that too much work

I would believe so. CS it's self recognizes the difference of player teams and hostages and AMX can too. But adjusting the numbers just gives people more wiggle room to be a dick. If people aren't here to grief 3 tks/hostage kills are more than enough, they just need to be careful. Also 4 hostage kills before ban would mean that one person could entirely ruin a round by killing all the hosties turning cs_italy into fy_italy. If you know what I mean.

4/4 = ban so if they ruined that round they'd be banned since there are 4 hostages. I've done that before too. Heard a CT and threw a nade and it turned out all 4 hostages were following him. Just my luck it was when my status was off, lol

Theres nothing wrong with the plug IMO. nades... theyre nades! splash dmg and shit. It's worked for this long, why change it?

Yes I know you said that cs_assault sucked in your opinion but as I said before, there a tons of cs_assault style maps to chose from and they are much better than the original. Just restrict the lame places like the tower and vents and then the map will be even and fun. It is the same as Terrorists hiding in the hostage house on the map Italy.
